November SITPRO Meeting

November 17, 2015 Leave a comment

Just a quick note.  We will be having a SITPRO meeting in November.  It is scheduled for Wed November 25th, Room 1004 Education, UofS Campus, 7-9:30 PM.  We are still finalizing the lineup and are hoping to have an agenda out to everyone, no later than November 20th.  One of the features for this month will be the Windows 10 Open Mic.

“What is Windows 10 Open Mic you speak about????”

Bring in a couple of your favorite Windows 10 tips and/or tricks, come on up to the front, introduce yourself, and do a quick two minute demo on your tip or trick and why you use it. (User group leaders will provide the Windows 10 device for demonstration purposes). Each person who does a demo will be entered into a draw for a $50.00 gift certificate.

Couple minute demo for a chance to win $50.00. Sounds like a good deal to me.  So plan ahead, bring in your Windows 10 tips and tricks to the November 2015 SITPRO meeting.

When: April 30th, 2015

PLEASE NOTE:

The location for this event has changed. It will be held in Room 1004 Education Bldg, University of Saskatchewan.

One of the biggest challenges to creating a single user identity for each user is to get all the various identity attributes together and consistent across an environment. Users perform their day-to-day activities from anywhere, using more than one device and OS. IT professionals are beginning to shift from device-centric management to people-centric management. The upcoming Windows 10 offering will amplify this and further enable end users to seamlessly transfer from one device to the next. Join the upcoming discussion regarding the importance of Identity Management in light of the upcoming OS offering.
